This 100,000 square foot manufacturing and warehouse facility was designed to house two steel press lines used in the manufacturing of plasma TV back plates. Each press line consists of six to eight machines that process the raw thin sheets of steel. Air-powered, automated, robotic machinery is used to transfer product through the line.
The project was design-build to meet Japanese and metric specifications. The project also included: 80,000 square feet of product and material storage; a 7' deep, underslab conveyor trench; 5,000 square feet of equipment foundation for Steel Coil Shear Line; two high-capacity product washing machines; a spray booth for paint touch-up; and a 9,000 square foot office with soundproofing and a Corporate Entrance.
