Grand Kansas El Segundo, California
Grand Kansas is the construction of two new Class A office buildings designed to offer innovative and creative work spaces for businesses. The shells for both buildings are a coalescence of tilt-up panels, steel, metal framing, fiber reinforced cement panels, and exterior brick. Bringing uniqueness to the buildings is the aged brick veneer that was removed from a century old train station and repurposed for the exterior of these buildings. Both buildings are connected by a bridge and are surrounded by exterior seating areas to create a centralized location for tenants to work and socialize. Building highlights include metal and wood ceilings at the first floors, custom bow truss ceilings at the second floor levels, polished concrete floors, private patios, glass roll-up doors, operable windows, and skylights that provide an abundance of natural day lighting throughout the space.
