Yulupa Elementary Santa Rosa, California
Phase 1: Yulupa Elementary Classroom Addition
Construction of 12 modular classrooms in a double “L” configuration with surrounding site improvements including classroom amphitheatre, courtyard, classroom landscaping, and new soccer field with clay-cinder track. All modular classrooms require installation of new electrical and gas service to accommodate temporary placement. Modular classrooms are to be connected to existing classroom systems in order to access a full fire alarm, data, and PA system. The majority of the electricity supply will be generated in the 75kW Solar Photovoltaic System that will be installed in the new modular classrooms as well as integrating them into the existing classroom building. The schedule has been meticulously devised in order to perform all work during standard school hours.
Phase 2: Yulupa Elementary M.U.B. & Modernization
Phase 2 of this project consists of a new 6,200sf Multi-Use-Building and a new district office. Renovation to existing buildings will include a full remodel of the multi-use-building in order to convert it to a library, enhancement of existing restroom facilities, and new parking lot and bus drop-off construction.
Following the integration of solar power into the modular classrooms, the new multi-use-building and district office will also house an additional 68kW Solar Photovoltaic system to generate electricity. The multi-use building will feature components such as exposed deck and steel, polished concrete slab, a single sloped standing seam metal roof, and a water feature for adornment.
